This is my favorite Mexican restaurant hands down, I come here often. There is a lot of competition in this area, so they are rarely crowded. The staff is very friendly and quick. Today they made my children helium balloons. They have a good drink selection, I usually get an ice cold, 32 ounce dos equis. I also like their sweet horchata. We usually get the buffet when they have it. I know it's not Mexican, but the buffet has fried chicken wings that are awesome. If they don't have the buffet I get the super mi pueblo quesadilla or the super mi pueblo el grande dinner, both a good amount of food. I always leave stuffed and happy!

I came here with 2 colleagues and we were really excited to taste their food, I thought after I read great reviews it must be a good place. The waiter was friendly, the food was great however, I ordered a chicken fajita and got something completely different....a pork dish!!!!! My colleague ordered soup and specifically asked the waiter if that particular soup was spicy and he said no. However, it was so spicy and she had to reorder a different one. Overall I think it's a great Mexican place, but due to lack of a good service (wrong orders) I think two starts is a fair deal. They have great margaritas too

My tongue is scorching as I write this, from the spicy tomatillo sauce we order in lieu of the regular salsa that comes out with the chips. You can also order chicken wings spun in this stuff? Okay, sign me up! Come for the delicious lunch buffet or come for dinner, it's all great! Also, if you haven't already picked out a common theme in all my reviews? It's bacon. Yes, you can get fajitas with bacon in them. Amazing! The staff is super friendly and they always remember us when we come in...always a great mark of excellent customer service. I know, it's in Horn Lake, but it's worth going out of the way for.

Service was bad. Ordered margarita without salt, they still put salt on the rim. Boyfriend ordered a sweet tea, received a Pepsi. When we asked the waiter to cancel the order (less than 2 minutes after it was taken) and was told that it couldn't be canceled. The waiter then stared at us the rest of our time there to make sure we didn't leave before receiving the food & paying. I ordered tacos (which was good) but it was supposed to come with rice & beans. It didn't and I had to ask for them.

Haven't been in awhile. Thought that maybe it has improved.....Nope.....won't be back! Cold food and then is not very clean.

The last two times I have been here, the experience has been bad. The Mexican waiters were extremely rude which instantly killed my appetite. I haven't been back since then.

Celebrated Cinco de Mayo here, since we were in the area. The place has a smoking and non smoking section, with live entertainment. I ordered the grilled chicken with vegetables and it was good, same as other places, but the food was way cheaper than other restaurants. The upside they had a lot of different margarita flavors. I tried the mango, lime, and pomegranate. All were good, but mango was my favorite. The waiter was nice, but forgot my cheese dip and drink more than once. It was not too packed, even though it was Cinco de Mayo. The bathrooms were clean. I would go back if I'm in the area and the weather was good enough to sit outside. I had fun overall and got a free tshirt and necklace.

When I was in Memphis I ate here all the time. Awesome food. I loved there massive wet burrito, and really cheap large beers like $1.99. I would love to go back here again when I visit Memphis, however I've gotten super spoiled on huge cheap burritos living here in California. But if your in the area, hit this place up! This place and Happy Mexican downtown Memphis are my favs.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
